Google One members and all Pixel users will now be able to access AI-powered editing tools, including Magic Eraser and a new HDR video effect, along with exclusive collage styles, as part of Google Photos’ latest update. This will help users get the most out of their photos and videos by making them easy to find, organize, edit and share.
Magic Eraser is a new feature that detects distractions in your photos, such as photobombers or power lines, and allows you to remove them with just a few taps. You can also circle or brush other objects you want to erase, and Magic Eraser will make them disappear. In addition, Camouflage in Magic Eraser can change the color of objects in your photo to help them blend in naturally with the rest of the photo.
The HDR effect, which was previously available only for photos, is now also available for videos. It helps balance dark foregrounds and bright backgrounds in your videos, resulting in dramatic, balanced videos that are ready to share.
Google One members and Pixel users will have access to a range of new collage designs, including limited-time styles from artists Yao Cheng Design and DABSMYLA. All Google Photos users can apply Styles to a single photo in the collage editor.
Google One members will also be able to enjoy free shipping on orders from the print store in the United States, Canada, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.
These features are starting to roll out today in Google Photos for Google One members on all plans and all Pixel users. Users who are not already Google One members can sign up for a free trial starting in early March.
