I tried my hands on AI-Generated Art, and the results are stunning

I have always been fascinated by art. And always admired the paintings done by my friends. There’s deep beauty and message in art and paintings.

However, as I’m someone with no given talent in art and painting, all I can do is just sit and admire the works of others, as I can’t afford to buy them. Paintings are expensive!

Then comes Artificial Intelligence (AI).

And AI has made art more accessible and easy for people like me who aren’t gifted with the talent of painting. Thanks to AI, I can now create my own digital art just by typing a few description of what I want to make. And boom, in just a matter of seconds, my AI-generated art is ready.

Though AI-generated art has been around for years, the recent improvement in AI has taken the tech world by storm. With names like DALL-E 2, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion ranking in the top spots.

AI art, however, is not free from controversies. It is a hot debate that is going on right now in the tech world.

Recently, an AI-generated art by Jason M. Allen won the Colorado State Fair’s annual art competition. He created his art, ‘Théâtre D’opéra Spatial‘ with Midjourney, an artificial intelligence program that turns lines of text into hyper-realistic graphics. His winning entry was faced with a fierce backlash from other artists.

Midjourney and Stable Diffusion are on beta and on waitlist. You can, however, access the beta version of Stable Diffusion at dreamstudio.

DALL-E 2 was recently made available to the public without waitlist and I instantly register at their website to check out the AI generated arts.

Here are the AI-Generated art I made using DALL-E 2 by giving the below descriptions.

1. Ukhrul Town in apocalytic world

2. An abstract oil painting of Ukhrul Town

3. Beautiful sunrise at Phangrei Ukhrul, Oil Painting

4. Beautiful sunrise over Shirui peak Ukhrul, oil painting

5. A cyberpunk illustration of Ukhrul Town, digital art

6. A digital art depicting the beginning of the universe

Go create yours at DALL-E 2 and Stability Diffusion and let me know what you think.

Do you think AI will take over human art? Leave your opinion.
